The Year That Changed My Life

The year that changed my life was August 2002 and I had been teaching in the early childhood field for two years. The school year had just started and I had a classroom of 12 boys and no girls. This class was very different and special because the children in this class were special needs. It was the first time I had ever worked with special needs children and I really didn't know what to do or expect. Every child in that class taught me more than I could have ever imaged.  That is the one school year and class I will always remember and will always cherish. That was the year I realized that I wanted to be in the educational field for the rest of my life.
